For most gig workers in Colombia, that barrier is structural. Traditional credit scoring excludes irregular income, and down payment requirements put vehicle ownership out of reach before drivers even begin. Closing that gap is exactly what Naran was built for.
During the session, the Naran and Yango teams walked participants through how the two companies work together. Yango presented the earning opportunities available to drivers on its platform, while Naran explained the rent-to-own program: how qualified drivers can receive a brand-new motorcycle, start working immediately, and build toward full ownership with every weekly payment.
The application process was designed to be fast. Candidates go through underwriting and scoring on the spot — and those approved could take their new motorcycle home the very same day.
Events like this reflect how Naran grows together with its platform partners:
- Platforms bring the demand for drivers and predictable earning opportunities
- Naran brings the vehicles and the financing banks won’t provide
- Drivers get a real path from “I want to work” to owning their own asset
This event in Bogotá is the first in a series. More open sessions with partner platforms are planned across Colombia, Perú, and Sénégal in the coming months.
We saw exactly the audience we built Naran for — people ready to work, held back only by access to a vehicle. Removing that barrier in a single day is what this partnership is about,” — Sebastián Báez, LatAm Region GM at Naran.
